Sending Brass Caps to Indonesia

2026-03-04 - Leave me a message

We ship a lot of brass caps to Indonesia. They're small parts, but our customers need them to finish their products. Before shipping, we just pack them carefully. Each brass cap gets its own layer of soft paper, and we fill the box so nothing moves around. The paperwork is clear—name, quantity, material. It's simple. We just want every brass cap to arrive in good shape, looking as bright as when it left here.

We Make the Caps in Our Deep Draw Shop

I'm Jay, from the deep draw shop at Nuote Metals. This is where the brass caps are made.

The process is straightforward. We take a round piece of brass sheet and feed it into the machine. The press comes down—thump—and forms it into a cap. It's like stamping a shape, but with a lot more force and precision.

The shop is loud, but you get used to it. My job is to check the brass caps after they're formed. I look at the edges and the inside. Then we tumble them to get a clean, finished look.

When I see a box of brass caps ready to ship to Indonesia, I think about the trip they'll take. It's a long way. If we do our part well here, it makes things easier for our customer there. In the end, it's about making sure these little brass caps do their job right.
